Colour, borrowed from life.

A speculative invitation to rethink the surfaces around us through structural colour.

The starting question

What if colour came from a surface's structure rather than an added pigment?

A design-fiction prompt exploring what nature-inspired colour might mean for repair, longevity and manufacturing. The illustrative imagery does not represent a manufactured product or a verified technology.

An invitation, not a forecast.

A future Submission should distinguish the imagined setting, real signals, technical assumptions and questions it leaves open. No scenario here is a claim about what will happen.
